Sorry for not posting the last few days - life has been busy in the best way. We just welcomed a new youth into our home, and we've been working closely on his care plan to make sure he feels supported and settled. At the same time, Dakota is gearing up for his senior year of high school - today was school registration and a trip for a fresh hair style to kick off the school year right.

On the non-profit side, Open Door Youth Home is continuing to move forward step by step. The paperwork for official recognition is in process, and I've already received our EIN. I also have our board of directors in place and have been meeting with directors and founders of other non-profits like ours to learn and prepare for what's ahead. Each conversation and milestone gets us closer to opening the doors to teens who need a safe, stable place to grow.
